In 1971, Epsilon Sector becomes aware of worldwide Vampires activities, resulting from Echelon communications intercepts.

While attempting to run the Earth Blockade, a Scorpion Cartel attacks Apollo 13. Atlantean attack fighters from Earth Moonbase: Lunar City, engage the Scorpion Nightrunner saving Apollo 13.

To increase profits, the Scorpion Cartel becomes heavily involved in offworld Human smuggling, and in Human and Arms trafficking in conflicts worldwide.

Centauran Run (Dark Corridor)

A dispute between the Lykadi Cartel - backed by the Lykaion empire - and Scorpion Cartel, over increased taxes ends the 130 year trade agreement between the space cartel known as the Centauran Run Concession. Once again the two cartels are in a state of over warfare in the Centauran Run - a region of space controlled by the Lykadi, a key transit route to the Silk Road Corridor. (Dark Corridor).

The Scorpion Cartel smugglers were now forced to make the dangerous trek from Earth to Ghost space, into the Scorpion Run, then through Arcadian Republic space to reach the Silk Road corridor - in Centauran Union controlled space.

Planet Tartarus also known as Ghost (Ghost Space)

The Scorpion Cartel secretly builds underground bases on the Forbidden Planet Tartarus also known as Ghost, located 475 light-years from Earth in Ghost Space.

This decision by the Scorpion Cartel, would place them into a direct military conflict with the ESO/ESC - who military forces patrol and defend planet Tartarus and Ghost Space.

In April 1980, ESC Taskforce Argus deploys ESC Black Moon and a ESOC/Black Sentinel Team, Black Team - to Planet Tartarus (Ghost) to conduct surveillance on the Scorpion Cartel bases in the Valley of Mist.

In May 1980, from several observation post in the Valley of Mist, Black Team patrols transmitted early warning of Scorpion Cartel, Sagean Privateers and Space Pirate ship movements - citing the numbers of ship and type, these ships would latter be intercepted by ESC patrols in space conducting naval interdiction operations (VBSS - Visit, Board, Search, and Seizure).

ESOC special reconnaissance missions conducted by Black Team Operators, on planet Tartarus also known as ghost are still active today.

In August 1980, Black Team form a secret alliance on Tartarus with the Tars - former Human slaves who escaped from the First Vampire Faction masters and their Machine Killers (MK's), before the destruction of the major cities of Tartarus, during the Second Galactic War in 14 AD.

The Tars now live in a system of underground caves in the Valley of Mist. The caves are former velranium mines, an ore that is impenetrable to ship based sensors and Machine Killer (MK's) scanners.

In 1981, ESC Taskforce Argus deploys ESC Argus - an stealth corvette intelligence ships, ESC Ravens, ESC Cobra gunships and ESOC/Black Sentinel Team - Grey Team and Red Team, to Tartarus to conduct special reconnaissance and the first direct action missions on the Scorpion Cartel and Space Pirate bases in the Valley of Mist.

Operation: Red Forest (Russian Suitcase Nukes Affair)

During the collapse of the Soviet Union in 1991, Werewolf intelligence operatives of the Vulferam (Wolf-Raven) - a top secret sub-agency of the Earth Werewolf Confederation Intelligence, tracked six Russians GRU agents from the Russian Embassy in Washington, DC to a secret weapons cache located in the Shenandoah National Park.

There they eliminated the GRU agents and recovered six RA-115 "suitcase tactical nuclear weapons" and other intelligence from the weapons cache.

Epsilon Sector

The six Russian Agents were also being tracked by a CIA RQ-2 Pioneer UAV, however the CIA tactical units reached the located after the Vulferam agents - transforming into Werewolves - had already made their escape. Surveillance video from the UAV and case files were sealed and transferred to CIA/Epsilon Sector.

The Presidium agreed, that the Atlanteans and Dhampirs would train a limited number of Augmented Humans as Black Sentinels, who would become members of the Human Augment Corps. The first Humans volunteer - members of H-Force, join the Human Augment Program.

On 21 November 2016, Arcadian Dictator Dracus Karvo was deposed as Arcadian Chancellor.

On 1 January 2017, Pro-Centauran Separatists have seized control of attack ships and several outpost. The Arcadians have accused the Centaurans of backing the rebel factions, threatening a wider conflict between the Lykaion Empire, Centauran Union, and Scorpion Empire - that could start a new galactic war.

Operation Sundown

On 18 December 2017, Earth Intelligence receives actionable intelligence of arms shipments on Planet Tartarus also known as Ghost.

Earth Space Command (ESC) dispatches ESC Black Sentinel Taskforce Argus, Black Team and Red Team to Ghost - on a secret black ops mission: to find out who's behind the arm shipments and to destroy the weapons.
