    RECENT HISTORY

    The Mutants are a scientifically advanced humanoid race, their homeworlds: planet Earth, planet Mutantia (Mutant Octants) and planet Antoria (Mutant Continuum) in the Alpha Quadrant, on the Orion Arm of the Milky Way Galaxy. During the Mutant Wars (6000 - 5212 BC), Vampire scientists on Earth began the genetic mutation of Earth species to use as weapons in the war against the Atlantean and Dhampir rebels factions on Earth.

    The Mutant races are descended from project Octant - a Vampire project to create the first Mutant Humans and Mutant-hybrids collectively known as Mutants. In 5999 BC, Octantis the first Mutant was born at the Vampire Atlas mountain underground research facility located in Africa. Mutant soldiers were used as elite special operations units in the Vampire Empire during the Mutant Wars.

    Following the Events of the Mutant Rebellion (5000 - 3818 BC), the Velorum Empire established a Mutant prison colony for Mutant humans and Mutant hybrids on the planet Mutantia. In 3500 BC, the Mutants were granted limited self-rule with the creation of the Mutant Dominion. In 830 AD, following Mutant Colonies Rebellion the Mutant Dominion was granted independence to the colonies creating the Mutant Octants.

    The Mutant Octants - is a one of eight regional powers bordering EarthZone, it presently controls over 1,200 star systems in the Alpha Quadrant, on the Orion Arm of the Milky Way Galaxy.

    AFTERMATH OF SECOND GALACTIC WAR (14 AD)

    Following the events of the Second Galactic War (352 BC - 14 AD), on Earthdate 321, at 01:00 hours, the Velorum Alliance and the Orion Alliance sign the EarthZone Accords ending the Second Galactic War. The Treaty declared Earth as a protected planet - no in the interference technological development of the planet. It created the EarthZone, a protected zone of space - 300 light-year radius surrounding Earth, to be reserved for future Human colonization.

    Ghost Space was declared restricted space - no colonization allowed, the planet Tartarus also known as Ghost to be a Forbidden Planet - no landing or contact permitted. To protect EarthZone, it created the Earth Security Organization (ESO) and Earth Space Command (ESC).

    Under the terms of the EarthZone Accords:

    The Velorum Alliance military forces - Velorum Empire, Velon League, Imperial Vampire Empire, Centauran Dominion, Lykaion Dominion, Scorpion Dominion, and Sagittar Dominion - were withdrawn from EarthZone.

    The Orion Empire military forces were withdrawn from EarthZone.

    Ambassadors representing the Atlantean Empire, Dhampir Empire and Mutant Continuum were appointed to the Security Council of the Earth Security Organization (ESO).

    Military Commanders representing the Atlantean Empire, Dhampir Empire and Mutant Continuum were appointed to the Military Council of the Earth Space Command (ESC).

    Atlantean Black Sentinel Forces and Intelligence Operatives were assigned to EarthZone to provide for the collective defense of its territories.

    Earth Moonbase: Lunar City - under the control of the Atlantean Empire, and the Epsilon Eridani Station and Shipyards - under the control of the Orion Empire, are place under the command of Earth Security Organization (ESO).

    The Earth Security Organization (ESO) and Earth Space Command (ESC) assumes responsibility for the defense of Earth and EarthZone. The ESC begins conducting military operations and security patrols of the EarthZone and Ghost Space. All heavy weapons are removed from Earth; direct interstellar trade with Earth is banned; travel to Earth is restricted and requires a visa from the ESO;

    The EarthZone and Ghost Space now serve as a defacto buffer zone separating the Dhampir and Atlantean Empires from the Imperial Vampire Empire and Velorum Empire. Earth Space Command (ESC) begins the expansion of the Theseus line - a series of former Orion Alliance Space Stations on the old Earth Space border, now under command of the ESO.

    THE PAX ORION (14 AD - PRESENT)

    With the creation of the ESO, two thousand years of peace comes to the Galaxy, the worlds of the Orion Alliance prospered during this time known as the Pax Orion. However in the worlds of the Velorum Alliance this was a period of lawlessness with the rise of criminal space cartels and wars with:

    Aftermath of Mutant Colonies Rebellion (830 - 840 AD)

    In 835, Mutant Octants Intelligence reports all signs pointing to a possible Second Space Cartel War. Wanting to maintain its neutrality with EarthZone, the Mutant Octants declared itself a neutral empire withdrawing from the Velorum Alliance. Signing non-aggression pacts with both: the Velorum Alliance and Earth Security Organization (ESO).

    Second Space Cartel Wars (840 - 1080 AD)

    During this time of conflict, the Lykaions compete with the Imperial Vampire Houses for power and control of Earth offworld smuggling of gold, diamonds and human slaves. This struggle for power between the Imperial Vampire Houses and Lykaion Confederation on Earth would eventually lead to a series wars between the Lykaion Empire and Centauran Union - allies of the Imperial Vampire Empire:

    The Centauran-Lykaion War (1000 - 1037 AD)
    The First Lykaion-Scorpion Cartel War (1703 - 1750 AD)

    In 1000, Emperor Centaurius met secretly with Emperor Scorpius, leader of the Scorpions, hoping that they would join the war against the Lykaions. The Scorpions would remain neutral during the Centauran-Lykaion War - choosing instead to blockade Lykaion-Sagittar Corridor, but they would later fight the Lykaions in a proxy war known as the First Lykadi-Scorpion Cartel War.

    In 1045, a security summit was held to discuss border security on the EarthZone-Mutant Octants Border. Attending the summit: Mutant Octants Chancellor Octanis II, Mutant Continuum Chancellor Darius Tel and ESO Ambassador Agathon. Both sides agreed to increase anti-smuggling patrols along the border. These talks would mark the first direct talks between the two Mutant Empires - former enemies during the Second Galactic War (352 BC - 14 AD).

    In 1559, during a visit to the Lykaion Empire by Mutant Octant Ambassador Pantelon - a human mutant telepath, to negotiate a new trade agreement with Emperor Lykaius. The Ambassador was attacked and assassinated by unknown operatives during an informal dinner meeting - between the Ambassador and the Lykaion First Minister Lykos.

    In 1560, the Mutant Octants adopts a strict isolationist foreign policy - closing Mutant Octant territorial space and cancelling interstellar trade agreements - withdrawing its Envoys (Trade Representatives) from the Imperial Vampire Empire, Centauran Union, Lykaion Empire, and Sagittar Empire. Only the Customs Station on the Mutant Octant / EarthZone border would remain open - allowing its trade agreements with the Mutant Continuum and Torian Enclave to remain in effect.

    The Lykaion Empire suffered heavy losses during these wars leaving the Events of the Lykaion Civil War (1750 - 1776 AD), followed by the Lykaion Human Slave Revolt (1780 - 1800 AD).

    The Lykaion Civil War (1750 - 1776 AD)

    The Lykaion Civil War (1750 - 1776 AD) would leave the Lykaion Empire divided into two empire: the North Lykaion Empire - controlled by Werewolf Emperor Lykaius, and the South Lykaion Empire - controlled by military factions loyal to Werewolf General Vuk Tega.

    In 1770, following increased fleet operations by the Scorpion Cartel Fleet on Lykaion / Mutant Octants Trade Route. Mutant Octants Intelligence known as M8 enters into a secret intelligence sharing agreement with ESO/Earth Intelligence - Section 19 known as E.I./Section-19.

    The Lykaion Human Slave Revolt (1780 - 1800 AD)

    The Lykaion Human Slave Revolt (1780 - 1800 AD) would lead to the Secession of Arcadian Territories Sectors from the South Lykaion Empire - creating the Free Arcadian Territories (presently known as the Arcadian Republic.

    The Second Lykadi-Scorpion Cartel War (1800 - 1850 AD)

    In 1800, the Scorpion Empire and Lykaion Empire would find themselves once again in another proxy war known as the Second Lykadi-Scorpion Cartel War (1800 - 1850 AD). The war ended in defeat for the Scorpion Cartel - in what would become known as the Centauran Run Concession - the agreement was a secret trade deal between the Lykadi cartel and Scorpion Cartel. Under the terms of the agreement: Scorpion smugglers would paid the Lykadi Cartel a Concession (tax) of 10% of their cargoes in exchange for safe passage across the Centauran Run to the Silk Road Corridor.

    Following the Events of the Second Lykadi-Scorpion Cartel War (1800 - 1850 AD), the Mutant Octants have avoided regional conflicts along their borders with the Arcadian Republic, Lykaion Empire, and Centauran Union.

    By the year 2000, interstellar trade between the Mutant Octants and their trading partners the Arcadian Republic and Mutant Continuum would grow from 400 billion to 1 trillion credits. The Mutant Octants Navy would grow from a fleet of 100 to 350 starships, making it the thirteenth most powerful space navy fleet in the Orion Arm.

    The Arcadian Civil War

    But this time of peace would be threaten in 2016 by the events of the Arcadian Civil War, a war which could erupt into a new regional war between the Great Regional Powers - Atlantean Empire, Dhampir Empire, Sagittar Empire, Scorpion Empire, Centauran Union, Mutant Octants, and ESO/EarthZone, that would ignite a Third Galactic War.

    Mutant society is based upon a feudal military system under the control of the Great Mutant Imperial Houses and member world Representatives - which together compose the Scorpium: the Scorpion High Council.

    Based on standard testing, Mutant citizens are selected for the Imperial service at age 7. The Imperial service is divided into seven service classifications: Government, Corporate, Scientist, Construction, Space Resources, Security Service and Military.

    BIOLOGY

    The Mutant biology varies among various mutant races, while in humanoid form, in most cases mutants resemble Earth humans almost exactly, with the exception of green, yellow or orange eyes.

    Pregnancy

    Mutant pregnancies normally last 6 months, but with mixed species, gestation can vary - they are born in human form. Mutant children experience rapid growth and development from childhood into adults - reaching adulthood in seven human years, an Adult Mutant's (in human form) height ranges from between 5 to 7 feet (1.5 to 2.1 m) tall.

    Adult Aging Process

    At full adulthood - 7 human years, the Mutant aging process slows:

    aging 1 year for every 50 human years, giving Mutants an average lifespan of (3,000 years).

    Average lifespan: 2,000 - 3,000 years. The oldest living Mutant is 8,000 years old.

    Teleportation

    Portal creation: the ability to physically travel instantaneously between two locations.

    ORGINS OF MUTANTS

    The Mutant Wars (6000 - 5212 BC)

    In 6000 BC, Vampire scientists on Earth begin genetic mutation of Earth species to use as weapons in the war against the Atlantean and Dhampir rebels factions on Earth. They create the creatures of Greek Mythology and the human mutants and hybrids: Scorpions, Centaurs, Werewolves, Shapeshifters, Empaths, Telepaths, Teleporters and other mutant races. To control the mutants they create an Army of Killing Machines known as MK's.

    The Mutant races are descended from project Octants - a Vampire project to create the first Mutant humans and hybrids collectively known as Mutants. In 5999 BC, Octantis the first Mutant Human was born at the Vampire Atlas mountain underground research facility located in Africa. Scorpion soldiers were used as elite special operations in units in the Vampire Empire during the Mutant Wars (6000 - 5212 BC).

    The New Vampire Army, supported by Mutants, hunted the Rebel Factions across North Africa - what would become the Sahara Desert, driving them into Nubian - where they made their last stand before leaving Earth. But the First Ones victory would be short lived, the Mutants rebelled against their Vampire masters in the Mutant Rebellion (5000 - 3818 BC).

    The Mutant Rebellion (5000 - 3818 BC)

    In 5000 BC, Mutant Rebels leaders: Lykaius (the first Werewolf), Centaurius (the first Centaur), Scorpius (the first Scorpion), and Octantis (the first Mutant and the leader of the Mutant Factions), lead a rebellion to create the first Mutant empire on Earth.

    During the War, captured Rebels are forced to relocate from Earth to Mutant prison colonies in Velorum Controlled space. The Mutant Rebels were finally defeated in 3818 BC, the former Mutant prison colonies are given full colonial status as members of the Velorum Empire: Lykaion (Werewolf hybrids), Centauria (Centaur hybrids), Scorpia (Scorpion hybrids), Sagittar (Gifted Centaur hybrids), and Mutantia (Mutant hybrids).

    As part of the Mutant Treaty known as the Mutant Accord: Mutant Rebel Leaders Lykaionus, Centaurius, Scorpius and Octantis were forced to live in exile in the Mutant colonies.

    The Rise of the Mutant Dominion (3500 - 1530 BC)

    During the Great Vampire Civil War also known as the Great Purge (3504 - 3110 BC) between Velorum allies: the Imperial Vampire Houses and First Vampire Faction. In 3500 BC, fearful that the civil war would spread into a regional war, the Velorum Empire granted Dominion Status to the Mutant Prison Colony and allowed the creation of the Mutant Defense Forces - a space fleet of 100 starships as a deterrent against aggression by the warring parties.

    The Velorum Alliance (3500 BC)

    In 3500 BC, Mutant Dominion became a founding member of the Velorum Alliance - fighting the Second Mutant Rebellion (2070 -1530 BC), First Galactic War (1530 - 1322 BC) and Second Galactic War (352 BC - 14 AD).

    In 14 AD, after the defeat of the Velorum Alliance by the Orion Alliance ending the Second Galactic War, Mutant Defense Forces withdrew from EarthZone in accordance with the Treaty of EarthZone.
